During my part-time experience at Etegent this semester, I have been focusing on moving the visual studio build system to generate through CMake.* I converted about 60 libraries and tools to generate the project build files through CMake. * I developed CMake modules to handle how required third party libraries are linked to each project.* I developed a deeper understanding of how the compiler and linker interact with the required files (source, object, dll, lib) to compile executable code.

I worked at Etegent for the first 8 months as a full-time co-op employee. I enjoyed the multitude of opportunities to learn and grow as a software developer. During my employment I gained proficient experience in:• Developed backend batch and powershell scripts to manage in-house git repositories and branches using git API and cURL• Extended a small application to pull .csv data, parse it, and update a local web server with the relevant information• Assisted with extensive testing and edge case analysis for a major feature release, using postman and cURL to interact with various local server endpoints directly to mimic and automate client interaction• Assisted in extensive testing of an application’s features for a major version release

This was my second Co-op semester working for Siemens PLM Software. I continued working in NX's Routing application. I developed a UI so users could enter in their preferred defaults for the routing application. After that, I inherited, tested, and re-based code for a feature to import a file from Teamcenter to NX, and export files from NX to Teamcenter.

I worked as a Software Engineering Co-op student for Siemens. Specifically, I developed features for their NX routing application. I took training courses to learn the ins and outs of the NX Routing application. After the training, I developed a mock UI to become familiar with the code base. Once I was finished with that, I was able to create an API to automate selecting parts in a parts directory tree.
