In the heart of Ogoja, Cross River State, Caleb Enya’s journey began, marked by resilience, determination,and an unyielding vision for a brighter future. Born & raised in challenging circumstances, Caleb’s early life was defined by adversity. Abandoned by his father at the age of two, his mother was left to raise him and his unborn brother alone. Despite the challenges, Caleb emerged as a beacon of hope and tenacity.Growing up, Caleb’s mother remarried, bringing a stepfather into their lives who worked as a security officer at the University of Calabar. This new family structure provided some stability, but financial struggles were a constant companion. Caleb attended Bright Future International Nursery and Primary School, and later, MaryKnoll College, a missionary school. However, due to financial constraints, he transferred to Mathias Offoboche Secondary School.At the age of 13-14, while in JSS3, Caleb began working with his uncle in manual block molding. These early experiences in the construction industry, from being a helper-boy in block molding to laboring in bricklaying, ignited a passion within him. Despite coming from a low-income family where his mother was a nursery class teacher, Caleb’s determination to succeed never wavered.Unable to afford the regular WAEC examination, Caleb took the GCE exam, which he unfortunately failed. Yet, this setback did not deter him. A scholarship for training in media and graphics marked the beginning of his tech journey, offering him six months of training followed by six months as a studio manager.Seeking further opportunities, Caleb moved to Lagos, where he faced numerous challenges. From working with a church’s media team without pay to taking jobs as a bar attendant and security guard, Caleb’s journey was fraught with difficulties. Determined to pursue his education, he took another WAEC exam and JAMB, gaining admission to Pefti Film Institute. However, financial barriers once again forced him to drop out.Despite these setbacks, Caleb continued to persevere, taking on various jobs including security guard, janitor, Okada rider, and dispatch rider. Each job was a stepping stone, teaching him valuable lessons and fueling his determination to succeed. At 23, Caleb met his father, a moment that added a new dimension to his journey.Prior to creating Masterpiece App, Caleb ran a building material supply business, deepening his understanding of the construction industry. His experiences & relentless pursuit of self-improvement led him to embark on a journey of personal development & entrepreneurship.
