I am a writer, hopefully soon an educator. My passion in life is to help others, especially kids. My dream is to own a school designed to help kids in challenging neighborhoods one day. So they can be free from the frustrations of their lives sometimes forced to live and help their parents give their kids the best opportunities available. Through my experience working in the juvenile detention center, I discovered this passion. I learned to listen and understand them and eventually found that it was not enough to be there as an officer. I sought to find a way to help and began attending Full Sail University. I honed the craft of writing under many professors. They taught me more than how to build worlds and weave illustrious illustrations. They gave me the tools I needed to show others how to do it and the power that literature holds and will for generations to come. I plan to take this passion into teaching to show the youth the power of writing and how it can change their lives in many aspects as it has for me. That coupled with the knowledge and experience I gained from my many mentors in my time in the military, I want to light a fire of forward-thinking and daring kids who aren’t afraid to chase their dreams and work hard for it and give them the tools to do so.
