I'm Caleb Funk, a passionate and driven student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science with a minor in Business at the University of Utah's School of Computing. With an anticipated graduation in May 2025, I've maintained a stellar GPA of 3.88 and have consistently earned a place on the Dean's List for my academic achievements.Throughout my academic journey, I've immersed myself in coursework that has equipped me with practical skills and knowledge essential for software development. Courses such as Software Practice and Algorithms have allowed me to delve deep into creating and maintaining large software systems, as well as exploring strategies to solve complex problems effectively.During my internship at Qualtrics, I gained hands-on experience in software engineering by developing a user interface for managing sources related to user brands, addressing key product gaps. I collaborated closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to refine the implementation plan. I also optimized the backend API and presented the completed project to stakeholders, successfully releasing it into production.Outside of academics and internships, I've gained valuable experience in customer service and leadership roles. As a Pro Staff member at Ski 'N See, I take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring meticulous ski equipment tuning. I'm actively involved in extracurricular activities that allow me to further develop my leadership abilities. Serving as the current Vice President of Triangle Fraternity at the University of Utah, I prioritize academic achievement, service, and character development.With a strong academic background, hands-on industry experience, and proven leadership abilities, I'm excited to continue making meaningful contributions in the field of computer science and beyond.
