My name is Caleb Garner, and currently, I am a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am pursuing a major in Personal Finance - Financial Planning and I am also pursuing certificates in both Business Fundamentals and Entrepreneurship. I am currently on track to graduate by August of 2025. Post graduation I plan to sit for my CFP certification exam and pursue a career in Financial Advising or related fields.In addition to my academics, I am certified in investment knowledge through Envestnet and I am currently pursuing Microsoft Excel certification through Coursera. I am also involved with many financial clubs within the University of Wisconsin-Madison such as the Wealth Management Group and the FOCUS Financial Occupations Clubs for University Students; which have both greatly allowed me to broaden my financial knowledge and network with and gain insight from financial professionals. Here on campus, I am also a part of the Wisconsin Fishing Team, where I can pursue my love of the outdoors through a hobby I value. I also volunteer actively on campus through Badger Volunteers to give back to the community and make a lasting impact on the world.Throughout my academic journey, I feel I have learned a lot about business and financial principles, along with many useful communication and analysis skills. Because of that and my quick approach upon graduation, I am currently seeking more professional experience within the Financial Field. So far I have shadowed associates at Clifton Larson Allen, Grainger Supplies, and Imperial Supplies. Currently, I am actively seeking financial internship opportunities, and I am also interested in more job shadows or any other relevant opportunities to interact with professionals of the field as a whole.
