My Bachelors dissertation, "The Development of a compost monitoring solution" focused on making domestic composting more accessible, and understanding how domestic compost systems can be optimised for heat recovery. I've also investigated the relationship between temperature variation and pH to assess compost maturity. My experiment was conducted using a modified HotBin compost bin, which I designed and built to accommodate 19 sensors, which tracked key composting parameters. My Masters dissertation, "Perspectives on wind turbine decommissioning: an analysis of the yaw brake calliper and turbine blade" was a group project I managed which offered robust quantitative and qualitative analysis on some areas of wind turbine decommissioning. Our work included comprehensive materials characterisation and mechanical testing of the cast iron yaw break calliper and cradle to grave life cycle analysis of a wind turbine blade. Our work featured collaboration with partners in the renewable industry, including Siemens Gamesa, Renewable Parts Ltd and SSE Renewables.In December 2022 I delivered a presentation to University faculty on "Condition Monitoring in Offshore Wind Turbine Foundations to Extend Service Life", my work demonstrated that condition monitoring is financially viable and environmentally sustainable.

I developed tool which forecast UK natural gas consumption based on electricity demand and individual CCGT efficiencies. The foundation of this tool was the GARCH statistical model, and was built using python before I converted it to a more accessible user interface in MS Excel, using VBA. I was the sole author of a comprehensive report on options for decarbonising natural gas storage operations, which I then presented to the SSE Thermal executive committee.

My responsabilites within Bucks Bar Group included but were not limited to; overseeing the training and intergration of new members of the team across three different sites, continued development of various menus depending on seasonal tastes and business interests and ensuring appropiate health and safety legislation was adhered to in the workplace. Proven ability to adapt and integrate with ease into new enviroments having been part of the opening teams for multiple sites. To have been a core team member in the varied, extremely fast paced working envrioment in the now four sites Bucks Bar Group operates allowed me to attain a highly developed interpersonal demeanor and active problem solving skills, relevant in any scenario ranging from conflict resolution to meeting project deadlines.
