Responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of the Grand Island formulation suites and the surrounding controlled environmental area associated with the formulation of liquid parenterals. Ensures adequate systems, equipment and resources are in place to meet production schedules, and that products are manufactured to specification and in complete accordance with applicable SOP’s, DEA, OSHA and cGMP’s regulations. This position directly manages supervisors accountable for overseeing the formulating liquid products against delivered production schedules and compliance regulations on their respective shifts. Coordinating and overseeing staff development, hiring, disciplinary processes, and direction to complete assigned activities are required. The formulation manager, through the supervisors, ensures the safe and quality focused work environment while accepting accountability for all activities within this position’s control. Managing Investigation work, as well as, corrective and preventative measures when necessary is also required.The manager is also responsible for ensuring adequate systems and equipment is in place to manufacture, clean, and store product. This also includes all new products and processes planned for the future

Ensures adequate systems, equipment and resources are in place to meet production schedules, and that products are manufactured to specification and in complete accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), DEA, OSHA and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations. Ensures corrective actions for investigations and audit observations are completed in a timely manner. Ensures all documentation is correct and addresses errors effectively and expeditiously. Completes Batch Record review for general and Nanotechnology formulation areas.

Responsible for the overall management, direction, coordination and leadership of the Nanotechnology Department. Responsible for planning, scheduling, technical development, staffing, and resource management to ensure production demands are met in accordance with all SOP’s, cGMP’s, specifications and other governing documentation. Responsible for technical guidance and comprehensive process understanding to ensure efficient and effective decision making.

Responsible for precise compounding of products in accordance with master specifications. Ensures proper systems, equipment, materials, training, and other resources are in place to meet production demands. Ensures products are manufactured to specifications and in complete accordance with all cGMP, SOP, and master batch records. Effectively develops and manages resources to maintain production goals and efficiencies, implements process improvement projects and programs, and leads and develops department personnel.
