I was born and raised in Herald, CA, as a brother to ten fantastic siblings. Caring for and helping others was ingrained from childhood. In Sacramento, CA, I went to Cosumnes River College, studied and graduated with an A.S. in Fire Technology, became an E.D. Technician, and completed a two-year fire academy and internship. I then studied at California State University, Sacramento, where I studied and graduated with my B.A. in Communications with a focus in Health and Interpersonal Communications. I then moved to O'ahu and married my long-distance girlfriend and the love of my life, Calena. I continued work as an E.D. Technician, and simultaneously completed my B.S. in Nursing at University of Hawai'i at Manoa. During my nursing school, my wife and I welcomed our amazing son, Hezekiah, into the world. We love exploring all the amazing things we can do with and for a one-year old adventurer.Personally, I love to hike, surf, play ultimate frisbee, and volunteer alongside local organizations to care for the community, the coast, and the ʻāina.
