I am currently filling a Director role at Chick-fil-A in Columbus, OH. I have been with Chick-fil-A since July of 2018 and have been with the company ever since. I graduated from the International Center for Creativity (partnered with Cedarville University) with a bachelors degree in Innovative and Industrial Design where I learned how to think critically to solve real world problems with design and innovation. A huge part of design is also being able to communicate which has been one of the biggest factors in helping me get to where I am today. Communication is both simple and complex at the same time and can be very challenging in different environments. I started at Chick-fil-A as a Team Member in 2018 and immediately fell in love with the company because of the amazing community and fast-paced culture. I saw so much opportunity for myself not only within the restaurant, but within the company as well. From then, I now serve as the Director of Training and Drive-thru in our organization. I have the opportunity to serve guests in our community through food by consistently having quick and reliable service every time. One of the reasons I love my job is because I have a unique opportunity to help develop our young leaders of the next generation in the work force. I get to teach them many hard and soft skills required for many occupations and what it means to be professional and have fun in the workplace at the same time. Through my time working in retail and the restaurant industry I have learned what it means to be a leader and am still learning more everyday! I have learned how to innovate, control high stress situations, work as a team, communicate effectively, pay attention to detail, and build community. One of the most important lessons I've learned is just to be kind to everyone. Everyone has their own life, their own story, and their own share of problems. I continue to look for ways I can serve people in my community, my workplace, and around the world as well. I am excited to see where I will go in the future and how we can learn to serve each other better.
