As a CarMax Buyer, I am responsible for sourcing CarMax’s unmatched vehicle inventory through on-site appraisals, and the attendance off-site auctions. Further responsibilities include coordinating wholesale auctions, appraising vehicles at our Louisville location, and conducting routine market analysis. To put it generally, I am charged with making financially sound purchasing decisions for the company. But these decisions materialize into cars of incredible quality, and value, for our guests. I also work side by side with our team of technicians to determine reconditioning costs, help ensure accurate optioning, pricing, and web listing of our inventory. Any additional partnerships with other departments underscore our mission---to set the bar for integrity in the industry.

As a Sales Consultant with Carmax, my role was to connect every customer with the right car, at the right place. By listening to the needs of my customers, and letting them tell me what they need out of our time together, I was able to make tailor-made recommendations, helping them locate the car that was right for them, and showing them how easy, and even fun, the process can be. And when every guest interaction is predicated on honesty, integrity and transparency, it couldn't NOT work.

My contributions in the Enrollment Department help turn valuable contracts into vital conversions. It began by listening to the story of a potential student, discovering what their personal and professional goals were, and recommending a program that would prepare the individual to achieve their goals, and in the process, turning the potential student into an enrolled student. My first year as a youth pastor saw a group of 25 students grow to more than 60 students consistently. Serving as mission’s coordinator, I was directly responsible for allocating funds received to our sponsored missionaries on the field, as well as facility maintenance and office administration.
