At Micron I worked in the transmission electron microscope group to help develop new processes and new materials to improve yield in semiconductor fabrication settings. My work included:-Preparing phase change memory samples for transmission electron microscope analysis using dual beam scanning electron microscope and focused ion beam.-Communicate with internal clients and team members to develop new sample preparation and analysis methods on the newest memory technologies.-Collaborate with different work groups to ensure analysis coincides with research and development needs.-Work cross functionally with department heads and recruitment to help acquire new talent from different universities.

At Covestro I was in the coatings, adhesives, and specialty products department. I worked in the research and development group. During my time there my primary project was development of an up and coming polyurethane coating technology. I worked daily in the lab manipulating coating formulations and performing property testing, and gave a presentation of my research to teammates in the department at the end of the internship. As a side project, I met weekly with a group of interns on a sustainability project to help eliminate the amount of waste the company campus sent to landfill. At the end of the internship we presented our ideas to the Covestro leadership team.
