With my Bachelor in Psychology now complete my goals are to attend graduate school for a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and a concentration in expressive arts. I would like to work as a therapist for a few years to increase my knowledge and experience with direct client work in a therapeutic setting. After this I will combine both my passion for cooking and for direct client therapy to open a culinary based expressive art therapy service. I feel that this is a current void in the expressive arts that has not been utilized. Food is something that connects people, is nurturing and the process of making it is a perfect synthesis of art and science. Making food is also cathartic and through this I hope to make food a point of healing and expression for clients.
