I taught two honors classes for UNCW, one on digital design and literary publications and the other on fantasy writing, world-building, and ethics. Each class had 20-24 students, and I taught both in-person and virtually via zoom during the pandemic. I taught students to master elements of design, how form and content interact, and how to use Adobe InDesign effectively. The class culminated in a final project in which student built their own literary magazines or websites. In the fantasy writing class, I utilized interdisciplinary skills to teach a class that drew from English literary studies and creative writing workshop models, allowing the class to do both literary analysis and write their own stories as well as developing the skills to effectively critique their peers' stories. I taught, graded, and gave meaningful feedback on projects.

I taught students the skills necessary to navigate the undergraduate environment at UNCW, including rhetorical analysis, narrative writing, persuasive writing, and informational writing. I graded projects and essays, taught students to think critically, and developed the organizational and teaching skills necessary to continue teaching at the university level.
