Growing up, I always enjoyed listening to play-by-play calls and reading about behind-the-scenes work. There was always something magical about listening to the broadcasters put the action on the screen into words or learning about how much goes into a particular movie, tv show, broadcast, etc. Those interests never changed, and now I am studying to go into the field of broadcasting for either production purposes or being the man on the camera.In my senior year of high school, I joined the speech and debate program and competed in predominantly TV Broadcast and Informative Speaking competitions. I will be the first to admit, I never was great at them, but in my opinion, learning more about public speaking was more beneficial to me than trying to be the best at delivering a speech. This, alongside my work with media technology at my church, helped me to get better at my NASCAR podcast "3 Wide" which I run with my dad and my brother.
