As a seasonal worker for the City of Westminster we are given the task to work with heavy duty machinery. We do lots of mowing in which I have learned how to run the three mowers. We are expected to upkeep the softball field as well as the soccer field. I use lots of machinery from things like awd gators, to weed whackers, as well as push mowers. I have been a leader there in which sometimes I have to direct people to different tasks because there's aways more to get done. At this job I have learned how to take time at making things look good but also working hard to get the job done.

With this company I have learned good customer service and how to represent myself while working with people. I work with money a lot of times so I am entrusted not to take any. I have even learned how to stock shelves and put items out on the floor of the store and make them look organized. We are even taught theft prevention and what to do if you see someone steal something.

This was my first ever job and it's where I learned work ethic and hard work. I was a dishwasher so a lot of what I did was clean everything that was used and dirty. It was the hardest work I've ever done because the speed I had to clean everything was really hard to keep up with. I also learned how to stick with a job even though it may be difficult and you just don't like it. I even learned how to close the resturant and what needs to get done like cleaning bathrooms and cleaning floors and what it all entails. This job was hard for me but I learned how to have a good work ethic and show up to something even though you don't want to.
