Intern at Ascension Technologies within the manufacturing department. My role as a manufacturing engineering intern involved creating and organizing controlled documents, performing maintenance on tools and equipment for production line, creating/designing tools and fixtures for the manufacturing team, and various office projects. Through my time at this company I have created and manufactured three different fixtures that are now used daily within the production line. Through this internship I increased my skills in SolidWorks, Microsoft office, Machining, and communication within a professional environment. I am not confident using most CAD software, and can understand and assist with the process of document control. This internship has given me first hand experience on how a company works within an office, and how my role in an engineering position can impact the company.
