The role combines hands-on science communication opportunities, with the extensive interpersonal and interdisciplinary managerial skills involved in coordinating our SciComm team, the development of content, and upkeep of materials across three Australian states (VIC, NSW, QLD). Responsibilities include: - Delivering highly engaging science shows and hands-on science sessions to a consistently exceptional standard, and ensuring this quality is maintained across our entire science communicator team. - Ensuring consistent growth, development and engagement across our team of science communicators via onboarding training and provision of ongoing P.D. opportunities. - Extensive knowledge of lesson plan content and oversight of its consistent development, including overseeing the R&D & maintenance of all associated kits & materials. - Oversight of all bookings processes for VIC, NSW, QLD.

Wild Melbourne is a not-for-profit organisation, with a vision to educate, engage and equip the local community of Melbourne towards a strong connection with nature and the region's native wildlife. By engaging people with the natural world, we hope to sow cultural seeds that will lead a shift away from current environmental apathies to embrace the conservation message, and increase the many benefits to be had through a deep connection with nature.My role is to generate regular online video or photographic content of nature and wildlife for social platforms, which can involve: - Directorial control over feature documentaries - liaising with stakeholders, talent, filming species in situ, oversight in edit - Writing, editing and presenting videos on a weekly basis, designed to engage viewers with nature-based content, and increase their connection to the environment around them. - Dedicated wildlife & nature filming missions, to generate RTW's stock footage library, with a view for wide use in Productions' various operations
