• Responsible for the supervision of plants water purification area by utilizing ion-exchange resin (Anion and Cation)• Provided supervision of activities performed by contract laborers, scaffold builders, insulators, and other related trades in the execution of commissioning Geismar Plant 2. • Regularly practice preventative maintenance by but not limited to equipment checks, lubrication, making equipment adjustments where necessary, and other routine maintenance activities. • Maintains applicable knowledge of all production, cost and efficiency targets• Maintains a continuous overview of plant operation & performance; participates in plant operation trouble shooting for assigned area of plant. • Operates safely and monitor assigned areas of plant to support achievement of production targets, yield objectives and product quality specifications at minimum cost. • Participates in projects that improved efficiency and/or reduced operating costs. • Continuously review the operation of the plant anticipating and solving problems, and identifying opportunities for improvement. • Assists with diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance related issues. • Assists in the development of isolation packages for the repair of process plant ensuring that equipment is safe to work on and is isolated and ready for maintenance when required. • Promptly and accurately communicates plant problems to the Panel Operator and service departments as appropriate.• Maintains the necessary Field Operator area skills competency on assigned field areas as required for flexible operation at Geismar site.• Maintains knowledge of relevant quality, statutory, environmental, safety, Responsible Care & US legislation requirements for assigned areas of plant.
