CurrentFire Services- Fire Protection System Design: Develop designs for automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems, and fire suppression systems in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., SANS, NFPA, ASIB).- Fire Detection and Alarm Systems:Design and integrate fire detection systems, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, and fire alarms, ensuring quick response to fire incidents.- Smoke Control and Ventilation: Design and specify smoke ventilation systems, ensuring proper smoke extraction to improve visibility and safety during a fire.- Compliance and Risk Assessments:Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure fire systems meet national building regulations.- Emergency Water Supply Systems:Design and plan reliable fire water supply systems, including pumps, tanks, and hydrants, to support fire-fighting efforts. Wet Services- Water Supply and Distribution: Design systems for potable water supply, storage, and distribution, ensuring adequate pressure and flow rates for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.- Drainage and Sewerage Systems: Plan and design sanitary drainage systems, including sewerage networks, stormwater management, and rainwater harvesting systems, ensuring compliance with SANS codes.- Hot Water Systems:Design energy-efficient hot water systems, including centralized and decentralized systems and heat pumps.- Greywater and Wastewater Management:Design systems for the collection, treatment, and reuse of greywater and wastewater to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact.- Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all designs meet Local by-laws and South African National Standards (SANS) for water management and plumbing.
