I am a first year PhD candidate in physics at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with bachelor degrees in astrophysics and mathematics. My undergraduate research was on supervised machine learning and its applications to our understanding of the circumgalactic medium. Specifically, I developed a multi-modal network architecture to infer halo properties of galaxy groups and clusters. The paper for this work is in preparation for publication, and I hope to make the architecture publically available soon for other researchers to use.I've also worked on mathematics research, focusing on envelope theory as a geometric approach to renormalization that arises from singular perturbation problems. This work was done through the University of Colorado's Mathematics REU program.
