At eighteen, I got my life and health insurance license to sell Medicare insurance. Then, after highschool I worked with Farmers for a brief period of time. While I was working with them, I got my property and collision license. Both of these tests have taught me a lot about how to study and grow as an individual. In my opinion, having the ability to learn and research by yourself is one of the most important skills you can have. This is exactly what acquiring these licenses taught me. After a while of being an independently contracted agent, mainly focused on United Healthcare, I contracted with the Brokerage Inc. With this agency, I have contracted with Humana and Aetna as well over the past couple of years. I have been doing this throughout my academic career, as well as, being a server. I became a server for First Watch in late 2019 and work there in between helping people with Medicare and college. Throughout this, the skill that has helped me the most I would say is time management as this was required for such a hectic schedule. I have acquired and/or increased skills such as integrity, communication skills, tech savviness, customer service, being detail oriented, problem solving, and much more.
