Elegant fine dining establishment where I worked alongside a team of servers, hosts, and cooks to provide a pristine dining experience that the guest will remember until they come back again. Waited 4 table sections where I navigated guests throughout the course of their meal by appropriately sending orders in a timely fashion and providing any special guest requests. On top of managing my tables I spend my free time, running food/drinks, re-stocking the restaurant and helping out my peers.

Winter internship where I was on site for improvements of an existing water reservoir tank that feeds Nashville potable water. I spent my time shadowing a group of Superintendent, Project Manager, and Field Engineers. While on site I was constantly engaging in different activities to try to soak in as much valuable information I can on what it takes to run an efficient and safe construction site.

This 4 month internship helped my knowledge about construction as a whole, and my ability to read drawings grow exponentially. I worked alongside a Senior Project Manager, and an Assistant Project Manager, where I helped manage Submittals, RFIS, Meeting Minutes, Plans/Specs for 3 tilt up warehouses. As well as managing documents, I was in charge of relaying the information back out to appropriate superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors. While at Conlan I interacted with different teams and departments soaking in knowledge and assisting wherever I could. I learned how to efficiently use software's such as Pro-core, Revu Blue Beam, and Building Connected to navigate through different stages of Project Management. I was assigned to 7 different “bid teams” where I efficiently learned how to use Plan Swift to take off quantities, and coordinate with appropriate subcontractors about their bids for 3-5 divisions of trade.

I was a part of the 3-person manager team where I managed 15+ front of house and 5+ back of house employees. Daily we ensured food quality and service standards were met while providing a comfortable environment for both the staff of the restaurant and, the customers of the restaurant. I was the closing manager, closing 4-5 days a week which included but not limited to: expoing meals from the kitchen to the dining room, solving and taking care of customer complaints, ensuring staff are efficiently working to finish their tasks, counting and balancing all money drawers used during the shift, and keeping up with fresh inventory of food. While managing I frequently used programs such as excel to keep track of all sales and tracking systems.

Waited 5+ table sections where I consistently focused on fast and friendly service to take care of customers. Successfully balanced my energy between quickly greeting tables, taking orders, running food, running bar drinks, bussing my tables, stocking ice, and stocking various other items needed for the shift.

Had the opportunity to be in the field of two different jobsites for ARCO D/B concrete division. Shadowed a superintendent for 4 weeks in Atlanta and 6 weeks in Huntsville, Alabama. This internship allowed me to get my feet wet learning about the process of a construction project from the standpoint of the boss on the site. ARCO introduced me to tilt up wall construction as I worked on a 350,000 SF spec warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama. While in Huntsville I was able to see construction start from ground break, which exposed me to many different aspects that come with managing a construction site. During my time at ARCO I was fortunate to be able to enhance my construction knowledge from engaging in pre-construction meetings, keeping up with important dates, paperwork, doing layout of the warehouse, building forms, and finishing concrete.

My first job where I started as a host and worked my way through every possible job in the restaurant including: Serving, Bartending, Line Cook, Dish boy and Management. Got my first taste of customer service and working in a restaurant.

My first experience on a jobsite was a winter internship where I was mostly simple labor as I worked with a crew on a small bank in Lebanon, Tn. This was my first exposure to the construction industry and my knowledge within construction grew exponentially. I learned how to install drywall, do layout, finished concrete, cut/installed formwork, tied rebar, installed rebar in preparation for SOG.
