At GTMS, about 50 members build a F1-Style race car from scratch every year with a budget of over $100,000. Despite the steep learning curve, I quickly adapted and was soon assigned a project in which I designed and manufactured a custom throttle body cam given only the previous cam and a high-level description of the desired movement. Finally, I designed a modifiable exhaust in order to research the effect of exhaust pipe length before the exhaust collector.
