Report recommendations identified production variance from plan for each machine, and prioritized improvement projects for greatest return for the company.• Independently managed a project to characterize polymer flow for two extruder lines at the Low Moore converting plant.• Characterized extruded polymer coat weight as a function of product requirements for each extruder.• Created and implemented a MS Excel tool characterizing machine specifications to be run on the operation floor in order to reduce polymer waste during start up and order changes.

During my second internship, I collaborated with a productivity improvement team to optimize the batch digesters used in pulp cooking at the Covington Paper Mill. Data pull and analysis experience with Pi Processbook into MS Excel. Experimental findings were recorded in MS Excel and given in team weekly meetings. Final project progress report was delivered to upper management.

I used portable, high-speed camera equipment to find wire screen holes on the wet end of a paper machine. I also performed routine maintenance checks on pulp refiner cleaner cones during scheduled shutdowns. Finally I gathered, analyzed, and developed a database for all grades of paper produced at the Covington Paper Mill in MS Excel.
