Acted as architect and development lead for multiple projects, including a library shared by five STC products and a customer-facing data quality platform web application integrated (Spring IoC) with two different Immunization Information Systems. Java, SQL, HTML/XML/jQuery, Struts 2, Maven, and Spring JDBC/IoC.Responsibilities and Accomplishments- Use of technical specifications for constructing HL7 messages and transporting them via web services.- Company-wide subject-matter expert on HL7 (data specification for encoding healthcare information), used by most products at STC.- Lead teams ranging in size from one to nine developers and one QA engineer.- Worked directly with customers, account executives, and other stakeholders to take change requests from inception to delivery.- Organized and lead a company-wide process and technology call with other dev leads/managers, which facilitated cross-team knowledge transfer regarding challenges, experiments, and successes.- Prioritized tasks and created the release schedule to maximize the positive impact software releases had on customers.- Lead by example under tight deadlines by working directly with the team to ensure a timely, quality product.- Revamped resource planning, improving estimates using past data, which resulted in a higher quality product with fewer bugs due to increased regression testing time.- My team played a key role in transitioning the company to the agile Scrum methodology.- Mentored multiple junior developers in improving coding and code review skills.- Maintained internal documentation for development staff for Git use at STC.
