Representative Projects:US 64 Bypass and Zoo Connector (Asheboro, NC): The project was a new 14.6-mile freeway bypassing Asheboro to the south. The project begins on U.S. 64 west of Asheboro just east of Stutts Road and ends at U.S. 64 east of Asheboro at Dewey Road. This project was constructed as a Design-Build project.I calculated areas of clearing, grubbing, and hauling operations. Developed field changes for erosion and sediment control and calculated soil densities for acceptance. Calculated spread rates and quantities of asphalt and tack coats for new construction paving operations.I-77 Hot Lanes 3P (Charlotte, NC): Convert 1 HOV to 2 HOT lanes (interstate widening).I developed engineering reports for paving operations to include best practices and technical solutions to improve the laydown of HMA asphalt. The contractors improved paving capabilities were a direct result of recommendations the Klienfelder team and I provided them.US 311 Bypass (Jamestown, NC): New construction of a 4 lane urban road that included structure work, earthwork/grading, erosion and sediment control, utility relocates and paving.I surveyed and developed utility construction and relocation plan sheets to deconflict utilities with newly constructed roadway infrastructure. I was an Assistant Project Manager for erosion and sediment control, clearing and grubbing, hauling, paving, and storm water management operations. I performed roadway and structural surveying operations for the four lane roadway and 110'+ span bridges respectively.I-85 Resurfacing (Greensboro, NC): Mill and fill project for 12 lane miles of congested highway in the Greensboro city limits.I managed a team of three inspectors in the development and administration of $5M worth of mill and fill on I-85. I was responsible for completing weekly reports, approving contractor invoices, schedule management, and quality assurance.
