Hello, my name is Caleb Lane, and I am a second year in the Michael F. Price College of Business at The University of Oklahoma studying accounting on the accelerated master of accountancy track. With this program, my graduation timeline is currently December 2027, with me obtaining my Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in May of 2027. Despite being born and raised in Norman, I began college at the University of Oregon, where I was studying Sports Business, and was a member of the Clark Honors College. While at the University of Oregon, I received the Dean’s List honor both terms that I attended, and boasted a 4.0 GPA.Upon my transfer, I chose to change to accounting, as I discovered the importance of understanding the language of business across various industries, and hope to use this expertise to provide services in consulting, audit, or tax. During my limited time here at OU, I have been accepted as a candidate associate into the esteemed JCPenney Leadership Program, where I am participating in career development workshops and networking seminars. I have also joined the Sports Business Association here on campus, where I am provided networking opportunities in the wide world of sports. Through these experiences, I am building upon my skills as a leader, team member, and communicator, while simultaneously volunteering throughout the Norman community.This past semester, I accepted an internship with OU Athletics in their Game Operations department, which I have since started at the beginning of the fall term. Within this role, I have learned the ins and outs of hosting athletic events on campus, and have had the opportunity to work for a plethora of sports, furthering my knowledge in the field.
