I served as the liaison between NNSC and other UF organizations. I communicated with other clubs at Florida universities to create a network of students interested in nanoscience. I also served as an aide to the president in executive matters and take their place when they are unavailable. We also worked on improving the skills of our members through workshops. Moreover, we hosted events that celebrated diversity in engineering which not only promotes diversity but also allows members to learn how to conduct themselves in a diversifying workplace.My team and I along with our sponsor successfully hosted NanoFlorida 2022. This was a two-day event that promoted nanoscience research around the state of Florida. It is an annual conference sponsored by the Florida Association of Nanotechnology (FAN). We displayed over 60 student posters showcasing nanoscale research from UF, FSU, UCF, USF, FAMU, FAU, and Polytech just to name a few. We invited speakers covering multiple disciplines including nanochemistry, nanomaterials, nanomedicine, nanoagriculture, nanofluidics, nanoelectronics, nanophysics, and nanomechanics. Invited speakers not only included professors but also students. I practiced public speaking and event setup. I was responsible for creating the online program and for inviting the speakers. During the event, I networked with people from across the state, judged many of the posters, and adapted to rapidly changing conditions and any potential setbacks.
