As Quality Engineering Area Leader I managed 14 direct reports in Series Production Quality, Supplier Quality as well as New Product Launch and Development covering 2 production facilities in both Class A Metal Stamping and Body in White assembly. Critical deadlines and challenging obstacles were tackled as a team through diligent organization, strict prioritization and resource allocation. Frequent customer interface was a strong focus to ensure needs and expectations were clearly met.

As a quality engineer at Kamtek I have had a broad spectrum of responsibilities. I was responsible for managing customer complaints and requests, data analysis to drive daily dimensional improvement, making judgment calls on production parts, working within cross-functional teams to establish root cause for defects and process failures. I have also been responsible for PPAP presentation and submission for various OEMs, worked with program management for tooling reallocation as well as new production tooling buy off. Often in automotive I would find myself having critical dead lines and challenging projects. I have learned to rely on team work and task orientation in order to fulfill these assignments.

During this time I worked as a Quality Assurance Technician for a Tier 1 supplier launching a new High Speed Aluminum Die Casting facility producing parts for multiple OEM manufacturers. My duties include gathering daily data, working with quality and process engineers to drive continuous improvement. I have also led multiple MSA projects from Measurement System Correlation to assisting with Gauge R&R's. I have been responsible Core Documents and updated them when necessary. I am grateful that in launching this new facility I have been able gain valuable and practical experience in various areas of the quality department.

I performed daily measurement audits on CMM as well as coordinating with engineers and management to complete MSA projects. I was also responsible for programming Check Fixtures to the CMM and re-calibrating them if they did not meet the customer specification. This gave me both programming experience as well as a very diverse understanding of Metrology and Measurement Systems.

I was responsible for meeting production needs as well as trouble shoot and edit CNC programs using a Fanuc Controller on a CNC lathe.

At Irondale Custom Machine I programmed a Mazak CNC lathe using a Mazatrol Conversational Controller. I was tasked with programming, laying out and machining custom one off parts as well as short production runs.
