Graduate Student in the Biomechanical Environments Lab. Designed and built a custom bioreactor and conducted in vitro studies of the effects of stress and strain on live vascular and lymphatic endothelial cells. Responsibilities included adherent mammalian cell culture in a Biosafety Level 2 environment, experimental design and analysis, cell imaging via standard and immunofluorescence microscopy, design and troubleshooting of custom cell culture bioreactors, and mentoring undergraduates through the lab's Undergraduate Research Program. Designed and built a system for conducting in vitro pressure-inflation testing of bovine artery segments to study arterial wall biomechanics. Undergraduate researcher in the Orthopedic Biomechanics laboratory. Designed and built a custom testing system for in vitro evaluation of artificial finger joint replacement devices and investigated the root cause of patient complications. Supervisors: Dr. Peter Amadio and Dr. Kai-Nan An.

Used machine and hand tools and soldering equipment to build and assemble components for custom current transducers. Tested transducers for performance and quality.
