I am an NHMRC Early Leadership Postdoctoral Fellow using imaging and synthetic biology to study how breast immune cells detect and respond to cancer.I began a postdoc with Professor Steven Nutt in 2021 at WEHI after completing my PhD at WEHI under the supervision of Professor Jane Visvader, Dr Anne Rios and Professor Geoff Lindeman. My first-author works are published in Nature Cell Biology, Nature Protocols, J Experimental Medicine and J Mammary Gland Biol Neopl, among numerous collaborative works.I am passionate about using science communication to inspire and educate others. I make science art from microscopy and have won several awards for this work (https://calebadawson.com).I am the Day of Immunology coordinator for the Australian and New Zealand Society for Immunology, which is an international celebration of immunology with a public outreach focus.
