Caleb Barlow is a dynamic executive in the realm of information security, distinguished as an entrepreneur, innovator, investor, and operational leader. With a proven track record spanning both product and services domains, he currently holds the helm as CEO of Cyberbit, spearheading the provision of simulated, hyper-realistic cyber ranges tailored for security operators and executives.In addition to his role at Cyberbit, Caleb serves as an Advisory Director for the Charlesbank Technology Fund where he focuses on the cybersecurity and intelligence sectors. He sits on the board of directors of Maltego and Searchlight Cyber.Prior to joining Cynergistek, Caleb led the IBM X-Force Threat Intelligence organization where in 2014, he invented and designed the first in-person, immersive cyber range. In 2016 he built X-Force Command – part of a $200M investment in global incident response services including updated watch floors, and an incident command system for responding to major cyber incidents. In 2018 Mr. Barlow invented the Cyber Tactical Operations Center which is a first-of-its-kind training, simulation and security operations center on a semi-truck.Known for his speaking engagements, Caleb possesses a unique ability to demystify complex security concepts for C-suite audiences, inspiring actionable insights. He has appeared on the TED stage, the Today Show, an RSA keynote and regularly appears on national news broadcasts. Caleb’s views have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, New York Times and dozens of other publications. He has testified to the US Congress on information security, and he was invited by the President of the UN General Assembly to discuss his views at the United Nations.Caleb has a broad background having led technical teams in product development, product management, strategy, marketing and cloud service delivery. He has driven teams to growth through turnaround strategies, organic development and M&A. Caleb has a particular passion for reading Incident Response Runbooks and providing “immersive exercises” to train executives on best practices “right-of-boom.”
