As a rotational accounting intern, I rotated through the company's Treasury, Corporate Accounting, and Internal Audit departments to gain broad exposure in each financial area of the company. Through these positions, I was tasked to determine the retention and classification of documents found in the Treasury Department. Prepared cash journal entries, wire requests, credit vouchers, and monthly/quarterly journal entries in the Corporate Accounting department. Audited the company's current processes and provide recommendations for insufficiencies in the Internal Audit department. Finally, I had spent time throughout my internship working to increase operational excellence in the company's current business practices.

As a Pace Leader for the Lindner College of Business, I use what I have learned from my first year in college to coach 19 freshman students through Project Strategy, Innovation, & Impact. In this position, I attend class meetings, facilitate discussions, perform teacher assistant duties, professionally work with companies pairing with Lindner College of Business, and work closely with faculty to foster components of PACE.

At Bush-Re-Shea Insurance Agency, I was given the responsibility of keeping up with mail, running informational reports, and completing various side projects. With every new policy the agency writes, it was my job is to check over the policy for accuracy and quote the insured with a life insurance policy. I was also in charge of updating and changing current policies to add new information or changes to them. The agency tasked me to run reports for them to get updated information regarding their policyholders. I also work with my supervisor to create letters to inform policyholders of updates or changes to their current policies they might be unaware of.

During my time at Little Ceasers, I worked in the kitchen and on the cash register. In the kitchen I was tasked with creating and making pizzas and getting them into the oven to be cooked and cut. I also gained experience in cleaning the kitchen equipment before leaving each night. With working cash register, I handled money and called out orders to my co-workers. At the end of the night, it was my responsibility to close out the drawn and did so with 100% accuracy. I gained experience in customer service and relating to each customer while also performing the work necessary to get the customers their food.
