Developed runtime and design time software for Transfr immersive educational programs.

Software and toolkit developer for the Microsoft HoloLens. Projects and tasks include project specification and scoping, IOT devices and development (e.g., control systems using Raspberry PI and Windows IOT), algorithmic mesh generation and editing systems (generating renderable and animatable meshes with a full set of vertex attributes), network control systems and multi-user management systems (using sockets, Unity network management, autodiscovery, and proxy systems), rendering and visualization systems for large 3D data sets, image processing and visual fiducial systems (April tags, QR codes, and other systems). Utilizing technologies such as April tags, C++ and C#, mesh, vertex, and geometry shaders, Unity3D, Windows 10, Windows IOT, and Microsoft HoloLens.

Lead developer for Air Display 3, Air Stylus, and Air Sharing applications. Worked extensively with various network models including low level sockets (UDP and TCP based), high level frameworks such as URL sessions, and mid level frameworks such as multi-peer connectivity and PeerTalk. Developed in-house frameworks for networking components (particularly, unified API for various networking models and for a connection hand off service). Worked with a large number of third party libraries and frameworks including libjpeg-turbo, PeerTalk, Crashlytics, Hockey, PDFKit, and BT-LE based stylus SDKs including Wacom, Adonit, Ten-1, and Adobe (and developed common APIs for each). Worked with core Bluetooth services provided by CBCentralManager. Developed H.264 based video encoder and decoder classes using VideoToolbox and AVFoundation. Re-architected host applications to use an improved network model and very high level of concurrency using lib dispatch. This re-architecture was able to net a >50% performance boost for shipping client installations and a >100% boost for new installations. Worked extensively with the entire lib dispatch stack including blocks, barriers, groups, semaphores, i/o, and sources and thread synchronization. Developed CoreData based backing layer for existing NSFileSystem based file managers. Developed component based frameworks for in-house code bases.

BroadSoft is a global telecommunications software and service provider and provides the backend (digital PBX) systems for many well known telecommunication providers. At BroadSoft I was a senior iOS software engineer, engineering lead for MobileLink and Msg.Now applications, and contributing engineer to UC-One. These applications utilized multiple performance sensitive technologies including video and audio streaming with custom video codecs, SIP based connection systems, core data, security frameworks, PUSH notifications, custom controls and frameworks, web based RESTful and XSI APIs, and multi-threading with libdispatch.
