▪ Development of a software and two-stage hardware interface to direct a steerable spatial null on the Spatial Interference Mitigation Circuit. Sponsored by the United States Navy, this first-of-its-kind project initially developed a tunable, antenna-agnostic filter designed to null out strong interference and jamming signals at specific narrowband angles. The development of the interface provided exposure to applied software design and embedded electronics. Future plans include integrating machine learning in order to intelligently steer the tuner for a desired nulling angle.▪ Assisted in collecting measurements for a novel nonlinear equalization filter designed to block out undesirable signals.▪ Provided strong research experience in large projects with Federal funding. Exposure to managing engineering tasks while working in a multi-project environment.

This position centered around working with Dr. Huskey at the University of Oklahoma under the DLL to develop Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models in an attempt to modernize how classical texts are edited and archived.My project involves the creation of Convolutional Neural Networks and use of existing OCR models to transform images of scanned PDFs of multi-volume Latin works into digitally formatted XML files.

I worked under Dr. Diaz in TU's Tandy School of Computer Science as a high school research assistant. We were primarily interested in building semi-intelligent robots and studying how humans interact with them. The main robot I worked on would be remotely controlled and send information back to the user such as diagnostics (speed, working status, etc.) and use radar sensor data for location. I was in charge of programming most of the GUI for the end user. Additionally, I did some work in the mechanical shop constructing robot parts. In this project I gained experience in UI design, TCP/IP configuration, working in a research lab, Unix/Linux environments, and Python programming.
