As an inventory specialist it is my responsibility to make sure that the inventory is accurately received and shipped out. I have to collect the electronics recycling, separate it and make sure it gets shipped out to its correct locations. I do assist the S.W.A.T with cycle counts as needed, mainly when they are either sick or have a family emergency or have an unusual amount of counts for the day.

My responsibilities for merchandising was making sure that the product was placed in the correct locations per the company planogram. I also had to make sure that we had accurate pricing and display signs set throughout the store. During this time I was also the Holiday temporary key holder. In addition to the merchandising tasks, I was the one to open the store early in the morning so that we can prepare for our holiday business hours. I was also responsible for making sure the inventory and merchandising teams were executing their rolls effectively.

This position was best described to me as Sell Whats Available Today or S.W.A.T for short. The focus of this job was to ensure inventory integrity. My main task was to perform cycle counts and make any adjustment necessary. My other focus was to research any other inventory discrepancies that were made by customer return issues, delivery issues, downstocking or shipment shortages. One of my other responsibilities is to make sure that our inventory specialists understand the importance of receiving and shipping accuracy and how this effects not only themselves but the rest of the store.

During my short time as Merchandising specialist I did many of the same tasks that I did during my time as a member of project team. Main difference was that I was always at the same store. With this position I was responsible with making sure the other merchandising specialists were trained properly in accordance with the company standards.

While a member of project team I was tasked with executing the companies merchandising plans within multiple locations. I would setup the vendor displays provide functionality assistance with the stores and be available for them to contact me through email (sometimes my personal phone) with any questions they had. I was also responsible with training new part-time employees and following up with them to provide any assistance they might need.
