I helped to build our Advance Programs teams which included our machine learning and artificial intelligence research team, Uber AI Labs and our team focused on fast-forwarding to the future of on-demand, urban air transportation, Uber Elevate. These two teams are tackling some of the most unique, exciting, and challenging engineering problems in the world! Uber AI Labs is focused on gathering top scientists and engineers to create the next generation of machine learning algorithms. Conducting basic and applied research into problems such as self-driving cars, urban aviation, optimizing cities, and keeping riders safe. Uber Elevate is focused on Fast-forwarding to the future of on-demand, urban air transportation. A network of small, electric aircraft that take off and land vertically (called VTOL), will enable rapid reliable transportation between suburbs and cities and, ultimately, within cities. Prior to this I was helping to hire Senior / Staff Level Engineers in the following types of areas: 1. Engineers that enjoy the challenge of squeezing every ounce from production systems. 2. Engineers who build TensorFlow, Caffe, etc.3. Engineers who build platforms like TAO, Pregel, Megastore, etc.4. Engineers who enjoy building dashboards, tools, workflows, etc.
