-Performs and reports analytical tests, integrating and relating data generated by various clinical laboratory departments while making decisions regarding possible discrepancies. -Confirm abnormal results, verifying, executing and making decisions based on quality control procedures, and developing solutions to problems concerning the generation of laboratory data.-Maintain laboratory inventory levels to support routine, STAT, and emergent testing.-Supports laboratory goals by demonstrating teamwork, service excellence, adhering to established guidelines and policies and looking for ways to improve processes.

Responsible for managing daily operations (QA/QC, equipment maintenance, workflow, service levels, operational oversight, workspace), staff (first level supervision, scheduling, coaching, staff development, CE, etc.), and performing analysis within the regulatory requirements.

-Operates complex molecular instrumentation for the purposes of patient testing, calibration, and validation of the quality of the assay.-Adheres to strict quality assurance practices in order to maintain the highly sensitive environment required for molecular testing techniques.-Reliably communicates with management and/or medical directors as appropriate; i.e. abnormal results and laboratory workflow.-Provides training for new laboratory personnel in methods, procedures, and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.-Ensures testing is ordered and billed correctly, and maintains quality control data as it pertains to the relevant assays
