Quality Manager
CurrentEstablish goals for quality costs which are in keeping with the overall goals of plant financial operation. Monitors quality costs on a continual basis. Develops and implements procedures for evaluating these costs and taking corrective action, short and long term, where indicated. Insures the proper staffing of the department to meet quality requirements commensurate with the level of business both current and future expected. Institute training programs to provide primary job training and cross training for alternate jobs within the department.Provides assistance to departmental personnel such to insure that assigned projects or tasks are conducted and completed in accordance with established parameters. Maintains current knowledge as to new techniques, processes, procedures and programs that are applicable to continued improvements of the overall quality program. Supervises receiving inspection, final inspection, and metrology. Ensures calibrations of all metrology equipment is traceable to a NIST standard.Certifies quality commitments on customer orders. Supervises the process of quality documentation.Communicates corrective actions to customers, managers, operators, and sales teams.
