About Caleb Ng
Caleb first entered the world of marketing while studying at one of Singapore’s top media schools, Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Film & Media Studies, when he was tasked with marketing the polytechnic’s e-zine in his final year as part of the diploma's specialist project. Bringing in new business with brands like Sony, Golden Village, Electronic Arts and Microsoft Xbox, and enjoying the experience of cultivating business relationships between these brands and the e-zine, he delved deeper into the industry when he joined XM Asia Pacific (now known as Mirum), quickly learning the ropes of account servicing and project management, executing numerous regional ATL projects. After a year, he left to further his studies at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information – another top media school. Choosing to broaden his experience across the media industry, he specialised in journalism, completing an 8,000-word illustrated feature as his Final Year Project. During the course of his study, Caleb also took on the copy-editor position in the campus newspaper, The Nanyang Chronicle, where he used skills acquired in his past work experience to ensure accuracy of facts, grammar and look-and-feel consistency against the paper's house style before publication. He returned back to XM to fulfill the university’s internship requirement and hone his creative and account management skills in the digital space. Before his six-month stint was over, Caleb was offered a full-time Senior Account Executive position back with the agency after graduation. Since then, Caleb has worked in some of Singapore’s top creative advertising agencies on brands across diverse segments including technology, tourism, hospitality, education, financial services and retail, before moving over to a regional client role managing Asia, Middle East and Africa. Today, Caleb imparts the knowledge he has gained from the industry to aspiring media practitioners in Republic Polytechnic, both in the classroom as well as outside the four walls when guiding students on industry projects and nation-wide competitions; his project management and pitch experience being integral in project delivery success and campaign proposal wins. When he’s not teaching, Caleb enjoys playing football – both on the field and on the console. Foosball too. Board games and building Lego Star Wars are favourite past-times, but these cannot compete with his love for food while catching up on his favourite TV series. He also plays the drums, and dreams of forming a band with his three children one day.
Listed skills include Online Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Digital Strategy, Campaign Management, and 13 others.
