Observed the disassembly, cleaning, repairing and reassembly of a tool. Learned the differences between hot runners and cold runners as well as the purpose of a gate, runner, sprue, mold insert and ejector pins. Gained a broader understanding of the inner workings of a mold and the importance of properly maintaining tools. -Worked as an engineering administrative assistant preparing, documenting and filing various forms, orders and requisitions to make the engineering and customer service processes run more smoothly. Worked closely with the engineering department to ensure that customer orders and requests were responded to in a prompt and professional manner. Through time spent in these and other departments gained an overall understanding of the manufacturing process while continually improving already high levels of work ethic, ambition, determination and drive. Improved competencies in many areas such as planning, scheduling, organization, communication, customer service, team work, critical thinking and problem solving as well as microsoft office, outlook and excel.
