As an Admissions Specialist at Promises Behavioral Health, I help people who struggle with substance use disorders and mental health to access quality treatment and recovery services. I manage the intake process, verify insurance benefits, and coordinate care plans. Before joining Promises I was an Admissions Specialist at Cumberland Heights and before that I was a Resident Peer Counselor at their Stillwaters Men's Program. I supported the residents in their recovery journey and facilitated group sessions. I also have experience as a Store Manager and Operations Manager at Simply Mac, an Apple Premier Partner, where I oversaw the sales, inventory, and customer service. I have a BA in Human Geography from the University of Kentucky, where I learned about the social and environmental factors that shape human behavior and well-being. My passion is to be useful to those around me and to share the journeys of recovery. I have completed First Aid Training and I am always eager to learn new skills and best practices in the field of addiction treatment.
