I work on Unix and Linux servers for the U.S. Air Force. My daily tasks are making sure the server operating systems are functioning properly. This means working with the network, storage, and app teams to configure systems appropriately. Our team makes sure the systems are up to date with the latest security updates and fix any systems that are out of compliance. I have written Bash and Python scripts to automate several tasks for our team to save time on repetitive tasks and reduce human error.As a side project, I wrote a program in python to automate tedious tasks for my music hobby. This app sets up my cellphone as a mount point on my linux system. It can then edit .mp3 tags for songs, copy/delete song files from my phone and desktop, backup my music production files, and email a report to me using encrypted credentials in the .py file. It also creates a log and rotates the log file(s) as necessary.

My Systems Analyst duties required me to move overseas to Kuwait and obtain Secret Clearance status. I am the only IT personnel in my region but am a part of a larger operation. My responsibilities are to support our six locations in the Middle East/North Africa region. I have setup multiple location’s IT infrastructure needs from scratch and maintain existing location’s infrastructure. I am tasked with supporting the printers, computers, VoIP phones, and network infrastructure to assist the military with their ongoing aviation maintenance programs. The scope of the mission requires me to have a strong desire to automate solutions. I am the tech lead for configuring Group Policies that are pushed out to our domain computers inside and outside of my region worldwide. Using Digital Ocean as a Linux hosting platform, I created a clustered SQL database for the website. The website traffic is routed through a separate Nginx server for security and performance purposes.

MBUtek LLC task is to be a turnkey IT company for small to medium sized businesses. Daily tasks mean working with clients and their vendors to fix and implement new solutions. I support VoIP phone systems, wifi, internet, workstations, servers, printers, scanners, tablets, etc. I work directly with business owners, CEOs, and CIOs to plan new infrastructure and later implement infrastructure as a project lead. I am tasked with Documentation for all projects and solutions for clients to aid in solving future issues. I handle invoicing, accounting, and business administration for my team.

As a ProSupport Engineer, I supported Dell enterprise customers in a break fix queue. My daily tasks were repairing VMware, Linux, and Windows Server software and troubleshooting Dell PowerEdge, Blade, and Cloud hardware. My job was keeping our customers happy and working with them till a resolution is made for their Dell product. This may entail updating firmware, drivers, adjusting settings, and dispatching parts to get the customer back to an optimal state.

I handled a ticket queue that required me to troubleshoot hardware/software for Dell printers and computers. Active Directory was used to issue permissions for users and workstations. Maintained accurate records for all the assets on site. The job required me to be on call for our 24 hour live production environment. Other related duties were performed as assigned.

This job required great problem solving skills dealing with software and hardware. Repaired customer computers that were infected with spyware and malware. Analyzed repair for broken hardware on laptops and desktops. Sold parts and whole computers to consumers. On-site service calls were made for clients. I would open and close the store for the owner. The job required that I maintain and run the cash register.
