The mission of the Loudoun CEO Cabinet is to help make Loudoun a great place to live, work, and play. The Cabinet’s long-term objective is to contribute to making Loudoun one of the best places in the world to locate a business.

Oatlands 400 acres include vast lawns with incredible vistas, an equestrian track and eight “garden rooms,” which are private areas bordered by beautiful plantings. All of these spaces can be serene or celebratory depending on the occasion. All are there to be enjoyed by our community, businesses and for events of all kinds.In addition to the Oatlands Mansion there are 9 other historical structures, several of which are used for events. As with the gardens it is the people who make these one-of-a-kind spaces come back to life. Like any historical structure just being there creates an unexplainable connection to the past and to humanity, while building memories for the future. Oatland’s past is being increasingly studied by scholars, scientists and descendants of the land. The discoveries are unprecedented. For example, did you know that the Oatlands founding family member, John Carter III, emancipated 500 enslaved people in 1800 - the largest and earliest in history? More than the non-emancipated enslaved population of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison combined.

Built a K-12 content curation platform, which manages Open Educational Resources (OER) and publisher content on one searchable platform. Formed partnership with Cisco Systems adding their collaborative tools to the SURATION platform (https://youtu.be/pj3Hfowso3I). The objective is to provide a next generation teaching tool that is scalable and affordable for all students and teachers.

Conceived the idea, acquired the funding and built Avoca Learning, which tapped into the global need for curated K-12 content that worked seamlessly on all types of hardware devices, including an Avoca-branded Tablet. The applications for this new proprietary technology, included consumer, education, white label, education publisher content management and much more. Avoca was a "next generation" comprehensive and globally designed solution in digital education.

Negotiated JASON (Jason.org) - science education – to become wholly owned NG subsidiary to avoid bankruptcy, and rebuilt the organization and curriculum into an externally funded, iconic science program. Received 15 national awards, including 5 CODiE’s for Best Education (2), Best Online (2) and Best Games, plus countless testimonials from government officials, administrators, teachers and students.

Led the foundation growing the budget to $20 million and staff to 50. Created numerous iconic programs, including MarcoPolo (later Thinkfinity). Started first educational websites in prestigious organizations including: International Literacy Association, National Council of Teachers of English, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Endowment for the Humanities, American Association for the Advancement of Science, National Geographic, The Kennedy Center, National Council of Economic Education, Walker Arts Center & Minneapolis Institute of the Arts and others. Helped start what became State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA). The foundation’s aggregate efforts have had decades of impact on education and the programs continue to be recognized as stellar in their fields.

Captured billion-dollar client base, including GTE, Duracell, United Technologies and Charities Aid Foundation (UK), consulting on topics including, international philanthropy, grant-making, education, economic and career development, environment, CEO Forums. Helped start one of the first international philanthropy Journals, Alliance.

Developed IBM’s $200 million global philanthropic strategy, drawing international acclaim and earning #1 ranking in Forbes Magazine. Managed Asia-Pacific philanthropic initiatives and led IBM’s 156 job training centers teaching unemployed and those with disabilities apprentice level career skills. Experience in all areas of Human Resources. Earned multiple IBM Research, Manufacturing and Corporate Awards and accelerated career progression; achieved early assignment to IBM Corporate Headquarters with global responsibilities.
