For the last seven years I have been involved in leadership and team-building in faith-based organizations. My competency in this field can be measured by the fact that 25% (approx. 40) of those belonging to Hollis Center Church's congregation are excitedly and competently involved on a volunteer basis in the music, production, youth-focused (5-12th grade), and operational departments I develop and lead. There is also a steady intake of new people hoping to join those departments as volunteers.I am currently matriculated in the University of Southern Maine's CACREP certified program working towards my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. I have aspirations to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with an expertise in Family Systems. I am an avid fan of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games. For the last 4 years in this hobby, I have developed strong social, storytelling, atmosphere-setting, and multitasking skills. I advocate for games like this as an instrument for developing empathy, creativity, and problem solving as well as the aforementioned skills.
