As Fleet Feet continues to grow and further cement itself as the number 1 running retailer in the united states, our creative team has evolved as well. In my current role, I continue to create advertising, apparel designs, illustrations, social posts, and all other sorts of general marketing.However, I also have an increased role in guiding the work of the designers and creators across the brand, managing our Canva team and templates, and providing design approval.

As graphic designer, my role takes on many different challenges and opportunities. Most often, my work revolves around marketing graphics, including print and digital advertising, social posts, logo design, and more. Often I extrapolate from mood boards and direction from the art director to create suites of assets. Sometimes I research and create the mood boards myself, depending on the project.Fleet Feet is a fast-paced company with lots of work to be done. My other duties have included illustration, apparel design, and photo shoot assistance. The Art Department often takes creative requests from franchise locations across the nation, and so our work for these clients can range from race assets to in-store decorations.

The creative team works hand-in-hand mostly with the rest of Marketing personnel on developing graphics, advertisements, promotional materials, etc. to the many Fleet Feet franchisees and stores.We also produce assets for internal use, including case studies, charts, event materials, infographics, and more. Since we're a small team, we manage a lot of input to create quality, adaptable materials that can be used all across the nation at our many locations. Fleet Feet utilizes my design education, retail experience, and love for running and the outdoors. My work every day uses these motivations to grow and enhance the brand.

Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area

I employ my passions and education in design and art into work. Past projects have included art commissions, a printed infographic, CD cover art, logos, and more. Designs I make usually are clean and utilize bold colors. This flows well into my preferred art style, which is influenced most by comics and graphic novels.

Chapel Hill, Nc

I audit and improve the church's avenues of communication. My job is to connect with the congregation and with leadership and make sure that messages and feelings are being properly relayed in either direction. In order to properly perform these duties, I maintain the church website and social media pages while also overseeing how announcements and messages are put into the community.In 2016, I redesigned the church website at www.cccpca.org.

As a sales lead, my job is to act out all the myriad duties of a sales associate while wielding some authority over my department, making sure it's running as smoothly as possible.Before I was a sales lead, I was a sales associate. Day to day, I take that over 5 years of experience and lead by example. I must dutifully see to my customers first, welcoming them, identifying their needs, and getting the necessary products. Personally, it's my goal to engage with every single one of them in a positive way, to encourage them to venture outside and to identify increasingly REI's role in the outdoor world.When not seeing to customers, I regularly check with my manager for what enhancements need to be done to my department. I'm the point man for getting things done there. Sometimes I do particular tasks myself, while others I delegate to the other sales associates. From creating daily task lists, coaching my peers, training new hires, and more, I keep my corner of the store running.

Primarily, this was a basic waiting and serving job. I worked every Saturday and Sunday morning and every day off of school through high school. Summer time was an everyday affair.In addition to waiting tables, I also took care of odds and ends, including some janitorial duties, landscaping, general tidiness of the bed and breakfast, and anything else my employers desired of me.
