I am excited about technology, learning, software development and game development.Learning has always been a passion of mine: I love learning new skills and information, and enjoy mentoring and guiding others. I am caring, and loyal, and always try to bring out the best in others.My main focus in software development is developing new systems to solve problems, and to be able to scale those systems up as required, while also ensuring that the system remains robust, secure, and expandable.My primary skills are in back-end development and APIs (predominantly Python and Django), but I also have experience in taking the application through the whole deployment process: Dockerisation, CI/CD, into deployment on cloud services. Additionally, I have experience in interacting with databases (primarily ORM) as well as user authentication, login processes and storing of user permissions that integrate with existing applications.While not my primary focus, I do also occasionally do front-end development (Javascript/Angular) where needed.After hours, my heart lies with game development. I have been an avid gamer since I was a child, and I enjoy learning game development on the side as well as participating in game jams when time allows!
