I was also hand picked for an assignment to the one-of-a-kind nuclear powered deep submergence unit Submarine NR-1. Over the course of these assignments I deployed to and successfully communicated in the Mediterranean Sea, North Atlantic and Western Pacific. I also completed two assignments to FBM Operational Test Support Unit TWO where I diversified my background through learning strategic submarine navigation and communications. During my enlisted years the major roles I fulfilled included Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Manager three times, Leading Petty Officer (LPO) twice, and Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO).
