She's the ops manager with the mostest and a data groupie who digs deep. Calee makes complex analysis, research, strategy and culture-building look like a breeze. If the data talks, she's listening.The official low down:Calee Blanchard is an award-winning scholar, an educator and an impassioned advocate for social justice. After travelling to The Gambia at age 16 as part of an AIDS education mission, Calee found her life’s calling: youth empowerment. Her philanthropic work has taken her to Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia, before redirecting her efforts to her own backyard: North End Dartmouth. Calee understood from an early age that the best way to propel social change is through education and action. As such, she chose to become a teacher. Her masters studies focused on social justice and technology in education, which served her well in her role as a resource teacher (ie. developing specialized programming for children with special needs). Calee has spent the last decade working to make a difference in the education system. She spearheaded a Girls Empowerment Program for at-risk youth, has been a catalyst for bringing technology into Nova Scotia classrooms, and has led many initiatives to build “learner first” programming. Now, Calee is eager to apply her passion and exemplary project management & logistics skills to her role at Vendeve.
