• Worked on the core team in the development of a brand-new concept for a grain bin fan, combining what was previously three separate units, a fan, a heater and a transition panel a single encompassing Integrated fan. • Worked with fan performance curves for both centrifugal wheels and axial blades including limitations on fan performance up to the stalling point and proper sizing of fan wheel and motor size for various grain bin size applications. • Airflow testing of fan prototypes to compare prototype fan performance, Sioux current fan performance and theoretical fan curves as part of baseline fan performance testing. First hand exposure to improving fan performance and increasing airflow by optimizing clearances of inlet cones, fan wheel placement and sealing practices.• Worked on selection of single and triple phase motors including sizing motors for airflow requirements, verifying motor fit in virtual design and performance advantages being able to utilize a VFD.• Worked on development of an ultra-low temp heating unit mounted to the inlet of the integranted fan designed to ignite while the fan is spinning at full speed. System included a liquid plumbing line, a vaporizer coil and a vapor plumbing line leading into a final baffle assembly for the flame. • Heater designed to increase the temperate output of fan on a range of 2ºF up 15ºF. System components included solenoids, regulators, strainers, vapor and liquid pressure gages, flame rods, Fenwal flame controller and a control valve operated from a modulating motor. Project work included system wiring, initial flame ignition to getting the entire system from the control board of the VFD. Various iterations of the system included size reduction and reorientation of plumbing train. • Introduction of rotating arm with hydraulic controls for HiQual hydraulic squeeze chute. Design of components, selection of hydraulic hoses and fittings, prototyping and release to production.

· Project management for introduction and implementation of equipment for a new production process; a new two part adhesive dispenser on a rotating carousel for side seaming of pleat packs. - Headed product design while working together with both industrial and tool/ die engineering, production and Quality Assurance on successful implementation of new equipment and products. -Worked with outside vendors on equipment design requirements and concepts including proving out design concept to proceeding with a final production ready design for a repeatable process including equipment specifications, acceptability and drafting of legal agreements. ·Made multiple Capital Request Presentations to Senior Staff and successfully completed multiple projects with capital requests up to 250K.·Introduced to patent language and working with patent attorneys on effective product designs in respect to Intellectual properties.-Design of aluminum dye cast parts including design tolerance and surface finish requirements.-Design of plastic injection molded parts with mating components, design tolerances and material selection.-FEA Analysis and simulations including interpretation of results for robust engineering designs and problem solving and troubleshooting in real world applications.-Worked with synthetic filter media manufactures to introduce new media’s with an understanding of the base materials and binding systems present for adequate application coverage.·Produced prototype parts to prove design concepts including rapid prototyping.·Worked with and maintained customer relationships through communication, strong designs, periodic maintenance of die cast tooling and troubleshooting problems.·Design of sealing components including groove design and ASTM callouts material requirements.·Identified issues with field failures, determined effective design solutions.·Introduced new parts while supervising the routing of parts through the entire manufacturing process.
